Landrover Discovery 300tdi Here we have for sale my pride and joy, love this beast who is named Arnie after his big muscles and number plate. Need to raise some funds for my upcoming wedding so sadly he has to go. non sunroof model so no early morning showers in winter.. The truck was fully rebuilt 2 years ago by the previous owner, full body off rebuild any welding was done and the truck was given a new lease of life. Passed first MOT after rebuild with flying colours, no advisories. Passed second MOT, with one Advisory leaking exhaust fumes so nothing major. Next MOT is due in December and will definitely need a new exahust, rear section is missing centre is blowing. Arnie is set up mainly as an offroader but I use him as my daily driver for my business. He comes with the following: 2 inch body lift 2 inch spring lift extended brake hoses Snorkel Heavy duty winch bumper with recovery points Aluminium chequer plate skirts Tree/Rock sliders Heavy Duty Box section sills Axle breathers fed to top of snorkel Rhino Aero roof bars 265/75/16 Insa Turbos with full size brand new spare on matching modular wheel heavy duty clutch fork fitted during rebuild CB radio roof mounted New carpets installed during rebuild Tablet mount on dash (flips up to access stereo) Lamp bar with 6 lamps Camel cut to rear arches 2 rear work lights Side exit exhaust hole in rear wing (ready for new exhaust) tow bar with electrics Anti roll bars removed front and rear for more articulation off road Steering guard (2 months old) new steering damper (2months old) all new track rod ends (2 months old) With Arnie being lifted and on large tyres the steering is lively, so last month the front axle was rebuilt to cure some of the wandering. All new gaskets, new swivel seals, new wheel bearings stub axle seals replaced, one shot grease added to both sides, new discs and pads fitted while in there. New steering damper was installed with four new track rod ends. The last thing needed to be done is to get the tracking done at a garage to get it 100%. The front UJ on the front prop was replaced at the same time as it was knocking. While doing the front axle the panhard bushes were replaced but the bolts are worn and will need replacing as theres still a knock sometimes when cornering. The bodywork has scratches to the paint work off greenlining and has some scabbing to the aluminium rear arches. Please don't expect a showroom paint job but he does scrub up ok. The interior is that of a work truck, presentable but has a few rips and some paint on the leather which has come off my overalls. some of the doorcards have marks where tools etc have caused damage. Steering wheel is of that of a landrover who has done 195000 miles so bare in places. The chassis of the truck is 100% solid I started to repaint it from the back but due to insufficient time will not get this done before the sale. At least the condition can be seen by the buyer, there is surface rust which needs a wire brush before repainting but having owned a few Landrovers I can say the chassis and floor of this truck is amazing. credit to the guy who rebuilt it. Engine wise Arnie pulls well, smokes a bit when you put your foot down but the pump has been turned up (no smoke, no poke), has the usual Landrover signature oil leak that needs investigating but only leaves a tiny spot now and again. We've just come back to the northeast after a week Green laning in the lakes and north wales, Arnie never skipped a beat and performed well in everything we done. To sum it up the things he needs is New exhaust, Panhard rod bolts to stop knocking, investigations into oil leak (if it bothers you, All fluids are regularly checked), lick of paint to chassis to preserve.
